Milk allergy or intolerance?

A milk or dairy allergy is caused by a sensitization of your immune system to the proteins found in milk and dairy products derived from animals. This is tested by screening your sample for elevated IgE levels towards different milk proteins (= allergens). Find the full list of allergens covered by 7DROPS here.

7DROPS screens for milk allergens of 5 different animals:

Expert opinion

"7DROPS ALL FIT is the best way to screen for milk and dairy related allergies and intolerances that are caused by the immune system. Though symptoms may be similar to milk intolerances caused by the immune system (IgG-based), lactose intolerance cannot be tested through any 7DROPS test."

Reviews

For years, I experienced skin rashes and nausea whenever I eat certain foods like dairy products. A friend working in the medical field recommended trying 7DROPS to see where I stand – after my results came in, I started cutting out certain allergic foods from my diet and I feel way better now!

Peter M., 35

I’ve been felling unwell for months and had no idea what the reason could be. No doctor could really help me. After reading that food intolerances sometimes causes hard to diagnose symptoms, I took the 7DROPS food intolerance test and found out my body reacts badly to dairy products! I’m trying to change my diet and feel better already.

I’ve been struggling with this really random joint pain and head aches for years until I read that that stuff could be caused by an intolerance to food. I took the FIT test and the results say cutting out wheat might help, so that’s what I’m trying to do now!

But what if?

LACTOSE INTOLERANCE

Food intolerance can not only be caused through the immune system, but also by a lack of enzymes. In the case of lactose intolerance, a patient’s body does not produce enough of the enzyme called lactase. This enzyme is needed to process the type of sugar contained in dairy products.

  • 35% people worldwide cannot digest lactose well after age 7
  • Typical symptoms include flatulence and diarrhea
  • 7DROPS tests do NOT screen for lactose intolerance
